Big Announcement on next Service meeting
by The Lone Ranger inthere seems to be a very important announcement this coming weeking on the next service meeting, forme it will be on wednesday 30th jan.. during the last 2 meetings they have asked that every batized jw be at that meeting and even to tell others who might not have heard the annoucement.. anyone here have any ideas i wouldn't be surprised if they are changing meeting times and arrangments...less meeting at is !.

19) Are you helping your children to 'keep themselves without spot from the world'? (James 1:27) Satan would like to reel in your children as a man reels in fish. Various clubs and other organizations are designed to make young people fit in with Satan's world. But Jehovah's servants already belong to the only organization that will survive the end of this wicked system of things. So Christian youths should be encouraged to have "plenty to do in the work of the Lord." (1 Corinthians 15:58) Godly parents need to assist their children to set goals that will give them a happy and rewarding life that honors God and helps them to be ready for Jehovah's day.
What kind of bait does Satan use to reel in young people? What are the clubs or other organizations that make young people fit in with Satan's world?
Can you please give us some examples?........... Are they playing sports? Going to Heavy Metal shows? Going to sporting events? After school activities?
I guess the answer to ''keeping themselves without spot from the world'' is to encourage all the youths to have ''plenty to do in the work of the lord." Just let them preach,attend 3 meetings per week,and have no other activities.That's why nearly all the youths today leave as soon as they reach 18 years old.

Chicago's underworld heritage. Here's the biograph theatre where they shot Dillinger in the alley. Down the street there is where they held the St. Valentine's Day massacre. The city of Al Capone. Machine-gun Kelley. Guys named Bugsy.On the south side of Chicago in more recent times, there were a couple of dudes with very bad reputations; Flukey Stokes and his son Willie the Wimp. They beat people up. They sold drugs. They became wealthy. Willie the Wimp was shot in 1984 and dad threw a funeral. Thousands were invited. Even more invited themselves. People don't often see the recently departed sitting up and holding the steering wheel of a coffin modeled after the Cadillac Seville. A coffin with flashing lights and flowers for wheels. Oh sure, there were some other thoughtful touches, rings on his fingers and c-notes stuck like cigarettes in his hands.
The post-burial birthday party for Willie the Wimp was held at the same motel where Willie was shot. So it was, Willie the Wimp became more famous in his coffin than he had been in the street. It's a story that inspires song. Flukey Stokes was gunned down last November as he sat in his car. We thought you'd like to know Stevie Ray isn't singing about some Mickey Spillane fiction. He's singing about Chicago.

The WTS leaves me no choice but to ''fade''!

if you get disfellowshiped,disasociate yourself,or reject the teachings of the organizationan ....... you will be treated the same.
they really give you no other ways of leaving the organization.

If you get disfellowshiped,disasociate yourself,or reject the teachings of the organizationan ....... you will be treated the same. They really give you no other ways of leaving the organization.
Because of many family members still in ''the truth''(YEAH RIGHT!) the WTS give me no other choice but to ''fade''.
Persons who make themselves 'not of our sort' by deliberately rejecting the faith and beliefs of Jehovah's Witnesses should appropriately be viewed and treated as are those who have been disfellowshiped for wrongdoing. --The Watchtower, September 15, 1981, page 23.
...occasionally a Witness on his own initiative will decide to leave the [Watchtower organization]. ... They then will adhere to the inspired injunction 'not to receive such a one into their homes or say a greeting to him so as not to become sharers in his wicked works.' --The Watchtower, July 1, 1984, page 31.

Is the WTS really looking for new members?Or does it pass off the work?
by RULES & REGULATIONS injehovah's witnesses attend 3 meetings per week,hold bible studies(yeah right),go out in service (paying for their own gas),attend conventions(at their expense),purchase literature from the wts and each congregation have elders that handle all the discipline in the congregations.. so, besides printing a book here and there,cutting down the awake and splitting the watchtower in two,and planning the dull and lifeless conventions,isn't all the work really being done by it's members?

The ''Dumbest'' thing about the Witnesses is that they believe that God gave a bunch of old men from New York to ''speak'' for him. They haven't been right in over 130 years. The ''light'' that they proclaim to be getting ''brighter'' is dark by now. Hopefully one day everyone will find that the WTS are nothing but ''false teachers'' that Jesus spoke about.

What is the respose today? Are people better informed when Witnesses come to their door?

Question # 2 had to be drawn up by a Lawyer. I understand that by dedication and baptism you will be identified as one of Jehovah's Witnesses and that you agree with all their beliefs. What I don't understand is the words,''in association with God's spirit-directed organization?''
Can someone explain how and why the WTS use the word ''association'' in the baptismal question? How are you an ''associate''?

How do you ''fade''? Are you asked to leave if questions are raised about you? Can you just resign?

Q17) What shows that Jesus was interested in children?
17) Jesus was interested not only in adults but also in children. He knew about the games youngsters played and the things they said. Sometimes he would invite children to come to him. (Luke 7:31, 32; 18:1517) Many children were among the crowds listening to Jesus. When young boys shouted out in praise of the Messiah, Jesus took note and showed that the Scriptures had foretold this. (Matthew 14:21; 15:38; 21:15, 16) Today, many children are becoming disciples of Jesus . So how can you help them?
What the writer meant to say was: '' Today,many children are becoming disciples of Jesus because they are being forced by their parents.They will get baptised around 12 years old because of parental pressure. Some of them will get disfellowshipped because of some wrong conduct. When most of them reach 18 years of age,they will abandon the true worship. How sad to see this before the great tribulation!"
